UNSW Emeriti Oral History Project
UNSW Archives is commencing a new Oral History Project entitled "UNSW Emeriti: Research and Teaching Experiences within the Australian Tertiary Education System". This project is funded through a U Committee grant and aims to capture the experiences of 10 emeriti professors to document their research and teaching contribution to UNSW, their service to the general community and to record their experiences under the changing nature of Australian tertiary education from the Whitlam years to UNSW 2000 and beyond. The interviews will explore the impact that changes within the tertiary education sector had upon teaching and research within various schools and faculties and to document the resultant effects on the academic-student interaction within the university. The oral history interviews will be conducted by Sue Georgevits. For further information, please contact the Archives. Read about our previous Oral History projects in our Origins newsletters. Current and past issues of Origins can be downloaded in pdf format from the Publications page. |
