    Description
    In 1961, communication about a proposed water-ski intervarsity competition was circulated to universities. UNSW responded that there was not currently a club, but that there were a number of students who participated in the sport. It was suggested that a club may be formed in the event of the competition being created. Again in 1962, a similar letter was recieved but this time the competition was scheduled for 1963. The University doesn't appear to have competed. The Water Ski Club was conceived at a meeting on 13 April, 1967, with 22 interested parties present. The Club become affiliated with the Sports Association at a meeting of the General Committee on 5 July 1967. The first Annual General Meeting for the Club was held on 19 September, 1967, with 30 attendees. The Club later changed its name to the Waterski and Wakeboard Club.

    This series consists of the signs that were hung in the Senior Common Room / University Club. These include framed Certificates of Incorporation & Registration, U-Committee Plaque, Unisearch Ltd Plaque, Mrs G. McMonigal Plaque, Senior Common Room Club & University Club Signs, University Club Rubber Stamp, framed Vice-Chancellors Farewell Dinner Menus, Honorary Life Members Board and Presidents Board.

    The Drama Club was established in July 1955. In the Club's constitution, which was approved at a meeting held on 16 September 1955, it was stated that the aim of the Club was to foster drama in the university. The Club's first secretary was Valerie McCallum (file 00021768). At the Club's 1960 annual general meeting, the name of the Club was changed to the Dramatic Society (Dramsoc) (Tharunka 30 June, 1960). Dramsoc appears to have ceased operations at the end of 1985, although its last plays seem to have been produced during 1984. From March 1986 student drama at the university was continued in the form of the newly created New South Wales University Theatrical Society (NUTS) (Tharunka 3 March 1986).     This series consists of the Newsletter of the Senior Common Room Club / University Club. Each item is typed, and contains information relating to the Senior Common Room Club / University Club. The Newsletter contains details of events, services and administrative details of the Club. The Archives does not have a complete collection of these publications.

    Description
    The first swimming carnival was held at the University on 28 March 1953. During mid-1962, the Club became known as the Swimming and Water Polo Club. During 1965/6, the Club was often referred to as the Swimming Club again, but this appears to have been short lived. As of 1963, the Club supported the sports of swimming, water polo, diving and surfing. The Club is for both men and women.

    This series consists of the Committee / Board Papers of the Senior Common Room / University Club The material is generally typed and arranged in manilla folders in chronological order. The papers include correspondence, reports and copies of agendas and minutes for all the Club's Committees / Board meetings. This series is located in accessions 05/78 and 06/149.

    This series consists of photographs taken in the Senior Common Room Club / University Club. The photos mainly focus on events that occurred in the Club, but there are also a number that feature the Club's interiors. The photos appear to be generally from the 1970s - 1980s, although this is difficult to determine exactly as most photos are unnamed and undated.

These include the Memorandum & Articles of Association, Incorporation papers, Registration of Club papers, papers relating to the Liquor Licence and Tobacco Licence applications, club policies, house rules, lease papers, change of Club name papers and insurance papers.

This series contains architectural plans, reports and correspondence regarding interior and exterior changes and work done to the Club building. Also included is information about art works held in the Club and information about the Club's computer.

    This series consists of establishment papers of the Senior Common Room / University Club. The papers contain correspondence and negotiations regarding the initial set-up of the Club and also later details about the Club's management structure and general operations. Also included are lists of all the Club's directors, treasurers, presidents and secretaries.
