    This series consists of the minutes of the Ad Hoc Committee on the Academic Performance of Students in the First Year of the B. Sc. (Ed.) Course of the Professorial Board. The material is typed and arranged in a manilla folder. The minutes indicate meeting date, time and place; those present and apologies; matters discussed and resolutions passed by the Committee. The minutes for only one meeting of the Committee are held by the University Archives. This is a copy, as it has not been signed as approved by the Committee Chair.

    On 7th August, 1984 the Professorial Board resolved that the Professorial Board request the Vice-Chancellor to establish a committee to investigate and report on the role, functions and composition of the University's senior academic body (resolution 84/104). Accordingly, in September of that year, the Vice-Chancellor created the Professorial Board Review Committee. The initial meeting was held on 5th November, 1984 with Professor J. G. Davis as Chairman.     Description
    The Committee was created by the Professorial Board on 19th February, 1957 (resolution 57/2). This resolution stated that a committee comprising nominees of the Heads of Schools, with the Registrar as convener, be appointed to report on future enrolment and orientation procedure. Originally called the Enrolment and Orientation Procedures Committee, by April 1959 it had become known as the Interfaculty Enrolment Procedures Committee. The first Chairman of the Committee was Registrar G. L. Macauley. The Committee remained in existence until the Professorial Board was replaced by the Academic Board in July 1988.     On 7 September 2010 the Academic Board recommended that the Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, and President of the Academic Board approve the disestablishment of the Australian School of Taxation and the School of Business Law and Taxation, and, as a concomitant action, approve the establishment of the Australian School of Taxation and Business law within the Australian School of Business, effective 1 January 2011 (resolution AB10/101). This was approved on 20 September 2010 (file 2002/2060). The Australian School of Taxation and Business Law thus commenced operations from 1 January 2011. The first Head of School was Professor John Taylor. On 2 July 2014 the Vice-Chancellor's Advisory Committee approved a change in name of the faculty to the UNSW Australia Business School, effective from 23 July 2014.
