    This series consists of the Booklet Leaflet Collection of the Aboriginal Research & Resource Centre (ARRC). The material is typed, and includes pamphlets, leaflets and other material as released by the Centre, which contain information regarding activities and field trips organised by ARRC, and general information about the services and resources of the Centre.

    Description
    This series consists of the Agendas, Minutes and Papers of the Aboriginal Law Centre (1986 - 1997) / Indigenous Law Centre (1997 - ) Management Committee (1989 - 2009) / Management Board (2010 - ). The agenda show the time, date, and location of meetings, and issues to be discussed. These are accompanied, in most cases, by any papers that were circulated to members prior to the meeting, such as reports or correspondence. Some holdings include post-meeting correspondence. The records are typed and are arranged in chronological order in folders. The minutes of the meeting are first, followed by the agenda and associated papers. Occasionally these papers contain one or more prior meeting's minutes, or minutes of the Advisory Commitee or other Aboriginal Law Centre / Indigenous Law Centre committees, such as those managing the publications of the Centre. This series is incomplete. There is only the minutes from one meeting in 1996, a substantial gap between 2000 and 2008.

    The creation of the Faculty of Law was approved by Council on 13th July, 1964, under resolution 64/137. On 24 January 1966, the foundation chair of Law was created, with the apointee to also become dean of the faculty (resolution 66/15i). On 8 September 1969 Council appointed Professor John Halden Wootten to this position (resolution 69/155), with classes being offered from 1971. Originally the Faculty did not incorporate any Schools, but this was altered by Council on 24th January, 1972 (resolution 72/10) with the formation of the School of Law, which was co-extensive with the Faculty. The inaugural meeting of the Faculty took place on 9th February, 1971. In 2013, administered by Dean Professor David Dixon, the Faculty was comprised of the School of Law, the Australasian Legal Information Institute, the Diplomacy Training Program, the Social Justice Project and nine Centres. W. Phillips, who was appointed at Council's 14 November 1955 meeting (resolution 652). At the 12 March 1956 meeting of Council it was determined that the Pro-Vice-Chancellor's responsibilities were to: a) generally assist the Vice-Chancellor in the discharge of his duties as the Vice-Chancellor may from time to time arrange and act for the Vice-Chancellor in his absence b) in particular, deputise for the Vice-Chancellor at the latter's request in chairing meetings of Advisory Panels and Selection Committees and on public occasions within the university c) exercise the following financial delegations (resolution 720). On 8 May 1961 a second Pro-Vice-Chancellor position was established by Council with Professor R. H. Myers being appointed to the position (resolution 61/59). Up until 1991, the two Pro-Vice-Chancellor positions appear to have been only distinguished as either being the first Pro-Vice-Chancellor and second Pro-Vice-Chancellor position. From 16 September 1991, however, one position became known as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research & Development) and the other as the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs) (Focus 23 August 1991). The title of both Pro-Vice-Chancellor positions was changed to Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the Council meeting on 4 November 1991. As part of a restructure following the departure of Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Development) on 31 January 2000, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs) position was re-named Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Planning & Resources) effective from 1 February 2000 (file 990894). At the 4 April 2001 Executive Group meeting the name of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Planning & Resources) was changed to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education & Enterprise). On 16 April 2003 the name of this position was changed to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International & Education) (file 2003/0773). From 7 January 2004 the name of this position was altered again to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International) (SRF - Organisation & Management). When the Division of Institutional Advancement was disestablished at the 11 October 2004 Council meeting (resolution CL04/154), all staff from this division were transferred to the portfolio of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International). Consequently the position was re-named the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International & Development) (news@unsw 2 November 2004).\r\nOn 21 June 2006 Vice-Chancellor Fred Hilmer outlined a new Senior Management Group structure, which made the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International & Development) position redundant. The Advisory Committee was a more strategic body than the Management Committee of the Centre. The minutes appear first, followed by the agenda and any associated and circulated papers. The records are typed and are arranged in chronological order in folders. The agendas show the time, date and location of the meeting, and the issues that were to be addressed, while the papers consist of reports or other submissions that were to be discussed by the Committee. Occasionally these papers may include minutes from previous meetings.
