    This series consists of Research News of the Faculty of the Built Environment. As outlined in the first issue, the aim of the newsletter was "to keep the BE research community informed about the achievements of our staff and HDR students, upcoming events and deadlines, research/ training opportunities, and important information from the office of the DVC Research and the wider research environment." The Archives' holdings of this series are incomplete.

    Description
    On 24 May 2006 the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research) approved the establishment of the City Futures Research Centre (file 2006/0920). On 4 July 2006 the Academic Board noted the Centre's establishment, which was effective immediately (resolution AB06/60). Its main purpose was to develop a better understanding of our cities, their people, the policies that manage their growth, the issues they face and the impacts they make on our society, environment and economy. The Centre was located in the Faculty of the Built Environment with Professor Bill Randolph as its first director (file 2006/0920).     This series consists of the BE Newsletters of the Faculty of the Built Environment. Each item is a typed, paper-bound booklet outlining achievements or articles by members of the Faculty. The University Archives currently only holds issues #4 - #7 and #9 - #10 of the newsletter.

    Description
    On 10 May 1971 Council approved a re-establishment of the Faculty of Architecture, whereby the School of Architecture & Building became the School of Architecture and a separate School of Building was created (resolution 71/53). At the meeting of Council on 13th September, 1993, the name of the faculty was changed to the Faculty of the Built Environment (resolution CL93/73g). On 25 August 1997 Council disestablished all schools within the Faculty of the Built Environment - including the School of Building - and created in their place a single School of the Built Environment effective from 31 December 1997 (resolution CL97/66/9c).     This series consists of Undergraduate Program Guides of the Faculty of the Built Environment, that appear to have been released on an annual basis. Each booklet contains information on undergraduate courses, including advice and details about the faculty for prospective students.

    This series consists of the annual prize lists / Awards Ceremony Booklets of the Faculty of the Built Environment. The material is typed and consists of lists of names of those individuals who won prizes or awards in the Faculty for a particular year. The Archives only holds items for 2009 onwards.

    Description
    This series contains the handbooks of the Faculty of Architecture / Faculty of the Built Environment. Each item is a typed, paper-bound volume, which were released on a yearly basis and contains information about the courses available in the faculty, including subject descriptions. Prior to 1964, some of this information had been contained in the university calendar. From 1976 copies of the handbook are also included in the bound versions of the university calendar. From 2002 this series of faculty handbooks were replaced by a new series of Undergraduate and Postgraduate handbooks.
