    This series consists of the booklet leaflet collection of the Department / School of Surveying / School of Geomatic Engineering / School of Surveying & Spatial Information Systems. The material is typed and maintained in a manilla folder and includes booklets, leaflets and other material as released by the school, including course information.

    Description
    Annual report to the visiting committee of the School of Civil Engineering by the head of School to the School's Visiting Committee. The reports were presented to the Visiting Committee prior to its annual meeting and also sometimes have the notice for the meeting of the Visiting Committee attached. The Archives' holding of this series are incomplete, but further reports, along with the minutes of the Committee, can be found in series 2224.

    Description
    The exact starting date of the Liaison Committee of the Schools of Civil Engineering and Transport and Highways is unknown but it was in place by 11th September 1979, which was the earliest meeting date of the committee the University Archives holds minutes of. The committee was formed to consider the pros and cons of an amalgamation of the School of Transport and Highways into the School of Civil Engineering as an independent department. The committee was to investigate the desirability of the integration, from both a global and local view point; the feasibility of such a move; the mechanics / logistics of the move; and the time scale involved. The committee consisted of the heads of the two schools, heads of departments within the schools, and senior academic staff. Meetings were called on an ad-hoc basis whenever the need arose.

    Description
    On 14 September 1964 the Department of Surveying was officially created by Council within the School of Civil Engineering (resolution 64/180). The first head of department was Professor P. V. Angus-Leppan. There had, however, been surveying courses and activities under way within Civil Engineering since the university began. On 11 May 1970 Council reformed the department into an independent School of Surveying within the Faculty of Engineering (resolution 70/73) and the department ceased to exist from this time.     This series consists of the yearbooks of the Civil Engineering Society (CIVSOC). According to the 1983 issue, the 1983 Civil Engeering Society the yearbook was produced to keep a record of students, staff and events thus creating tradition within the school. The University Archives' holdings of this series appear to be incomplete.

    This series comprises the agendas, papers and minutes of meetings of the Advisory Committee / Management Committee / Heads of Departments of the School of Civil Engineering. It appears to have become known as the Heads of Departments' meetings from the early 1980s. The Archives' holdings of this series are incomplete.

    This series consists of The University of Sydney Department of Civil Engineering Papers of Emeritus Professor Ross Blunden. The material is made up of testimonials written for Professor Blunden by lecturing staff in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Sydney, as well as letters offering him a position as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department.
