    Description
    On 26 August 1970 the Vice-Chancellor's Advisory Committee approved the establishment of the Department of Economic History within the School of Economics in the Faculty of Commerce. The first head of department was Professor W. G. Rimmer. As a result of a review of the Faculty of Commerce, on 11 July 1988 Council altered the faculty's name to the Faculty of Commerce & Economics effective 1 August 1988 (resolution 88/90). On 3 November 1997 the dean of the Faculty of Commerce & Economics approved a proposal for all departments in the School of Economics to be disestablished effective from 31 December 1997 (file 972583).     Description
    This series consists of the RMC Historical Journal of the Department of History of the Faculty of Military Studies. The journals are all paper-bound volumes. Each title page indicates that the journal is published once each year with the aim of presenting the work of undergraduate and postgraduate students. Each issue contains one or more articles by established historians.

    The History of the UNSW Faculty of Engineering 1949-2009 - a 2009 hardcover publication by Blanche Hampton with Ben Allen and Robert Loeffel. This publication contains an illustrated history of the Faculty of Engineering that includes a description of the evolution of the Faculty and the challenges faced. A list of material from the University Archives included is located in Copy A of the book and includes Archives reference numbers and page numbers.

This publication is an illustrated history of the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering.     At the beginning of 1960 the Faculty of Arts was formed and at that time the Department of Government became the School of Political Science (Council 9 November 1959, 59/204). But (due mainly to the absence of an appointment of a professor of political science) in May 1961 the school was amalgamated with the School of History to become the School of History & Political Science (Council 8 May 1961, 61/68).     Description
    On 23 March 1992 the School of Art Education was established - along with the School of Art Theory - within the College of Fine Arts as a result of the disestablishment and division of the School of Arts Education (Council resolution CL92/16). The first head of school was Neil Brown. On 6 March 2007 the Academic Board recommended the creation of a School of Art History and Art Education within the College of Fine Arts effective from 31 March 2007 and the resulting disestablishment of the schools of Art Education and Art History and Theory (resolution AB07/06). In accordance with clause 7.3.1 of the UNSW Register of Delegations, the Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor and President of the Academic Board approved this decision on 20 March 2007 (file 2002/2060).
