    Annual report to the visiting committee of the Centre for Remote Sensing by the head of Centre to the Centre's Visiting Committee. The reports were presented to the Visiting Committee prior to its annual meeting and also sometimes have the notice for the meeting of the Visiting Committee attached. The Archives' holding of this series are incomplete, but further reports, along with the minutes of the Committee, can be found in series 2228.

    Description
    The Quality Assurance Group was established from 1 November 1995 under the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Development) (VCAC 1 November 1995) with Terry Hand as the Manager. At the 15 November 1995 meeting of the Planning Committee of Council, it was noted that the remit of the Group included National Quality Assurance Reporting, Performance Evaluation (Surveys), University Management Information System (UMIS) and Corporate Plan - Development & Implementation. Shortly afterwards the Group appears to have become known as the Corporate Planning & Quality Development Office. In the Working Party Report on Chancellery Services & Administrative Support Technology Report released on 10 July 1997 it was recommended that the functions of the Planning Services Department and Corporate Planning & Quality Development Office be brought together.     This series consists of the Sports Club Objective Performance Evaluation (SCOPE) files of the UNSW Rugby League & Oztag Club. SCOPE is a percentage score system designed by the Sports Association to determine the amount of funding a club gains for the following year. Scores are given in six areas - membership, administration, activities, coaching & instruction/training, marketing and finance - and a club is given a score out of 100 based on their achievements in each area. The Rugby League & Oztag Club have retained annual files that have been arranged into the six SCOPE areas. Each file consists of correspondence, minutes, newsletters, annual reports, membership lists and other information for that particular year in the life of the club.     This series consists of the student resumes / yearbooks of the Australian Graduate School of Management. Each book contains profiles of all students within the graduating class of a particular year, usually including photographs. According to the 1978 issue, the books were producted to provide information on the background of students completing the Master's Program at the end of [this year and] to assist you in your search for qualified employees. From 1987 - 1993 the dating of the books was temporarily changed. Whereas previously the title of the book indicated the year that the students finished studying, during this period it was altered to the year a student's graduation ceremony was held. Consequently, there is no book titled 1987 and two different books titled for 1993, when the system was reversed again. In 1997 - 1998 separate resume booklets were produced entitled Student Resumes - Asian Region that included those students who have a particular interest in working in Asia. In 1999, following AGSM's amalgamation with the University of Sydney's Graudate School of Business, a separate resume book was produced for those students on the Newtown Campus, who were completing degrees begun at the Graduate School of Business in 1998. During 2006, the publications were re-named yearbooks. The dating also changed slightly to cover both Executive MBA students graduating at the end of a year and the full-time MBA students graduating early the following year. In 2009-10 the yearbook was released as a CD ROM only. The contents of the 2009-10 CD have also been copied to the network drive. From 2010-11 the yearbook was released as an online database only available on the Australian School of Business website (http://www.asb.unsw.edu.au/currentstudents/agsmmba/studentresources/careerservices/servicesforemployers/AGSMMBAyearbook/Pages/default.aspx ). A single pdf of all student CVs from the yearbook has been downloaded and stored in TRIM.

    On 12 July 1954 Council in principle approved the formation of the Faculty of Commerce and at the same time resolved to establish a foundation chair in accountancy (resolution 431iii). On 11 July 1955 (resolution 599) Council accepted the appointment of E. B. Smyth to this chair and when he took up his position on 29 August 1955, the School of Accountancy was formed with Professor Smyth as the first head of school. The establishment of the Faculty of Commerce was officially approved at the 11th March 1957 meeting of Council (resolution 57/37), with Accounting as one of the faculty's first three schools. As a result of a review of the Faculty of Commerce, on 11 July 1988 Council altered the faculty's name to the Faculty of Commerce & Economics effective 1 August 1988 (resolution 88/90). At the same time all departments within the School of Accountancy were made either schools in their own right or independent departments. This included the Department of Accounting - and as a result of it becoming a school, it effectively replaced the School of Accountancy from this date. In 2006 the School of Accounting was headed by Professor Wai Fong Chua. As a result of the disestablishment of the Faculty of Commerce & Economics, the school became part of the Faculty of Business from 23 November 2006. On 18 June 2007 Council noted the renaming of the Faculty of Business to the Australian School of Business at UNSW, as approved by the Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor and President of the Academic Board (CL07/33). On 2 July 2014 the Vice-Chancellor's Advisory Committee approved a change in name of the faculty to the UNSW Australia Business School, effective from 23 July 2014.     The New South Wales Institute of the Arts (NSWIA) was established by the Institute of the Arts Act (No.124), 1987 which was gazetted on 16 July 1987. The First Board of Governors was duly constituted on 31 July 1987 and held its inaugural meeting on 19 August 1987. The objects of the institute were a) to strive for the achievement of excellence in the teaching of the arts; b) to provide practical and academic education in the various branches of the arts at the highest attainable level for those persons who have exceptional talent in any of those branches; and c) to promote and encourage within the community an appreciation of, and achievement in, the arts. On 1 January 1988 the City Art Institute (CAI), formerly an institute of the Sydney College of Advanced Education, and the National Art School, formerly the Department of Technical and Further Education's East Sydney Art School, were created constituent schools of the Institute. On 25 January 1988 they were joined by the School of Art of the Sydney College of the Arts which retained the name of the former college. The Institute was destined to be short-lived. In late 1987 the Federal Government had released the Dawkins Green Paper which set out changes in policies on higher education. The ensuing White Paper, published in July 1988, set in train changes for the newly established Institute which was invited to become part of the unified national education system. In late 1988 negotiations began between the then two higher education units of NSWIA and Sydney metropolitan universities with the aim of amalgamation which would allow the NSWIA schools to become part of the new unified national sytem of higher education. Part 6 of the Higher Education Amalgamation Act 1989, No.65, which came into effect on 1 January 1990, abolished NSWIA and amalgamated the NSWIA schools with the University of Sydney and the University of New South Wales. The CAI became a faculty of the University of New South Wales known as College of Fine Arts and the Sydney College of the Arts joined the University of Sydney where it was given status equal to that of a university faculty.
