    Description
    This series contains the signed minutes, agendas and papers of the UNSW Asia Liaison Committee of the Academic Board. The material is typed and arranged in manilla folders in chronological order. For each meeting, the minutes for that meeting normally appear first, followed by the agenda and any attached papers that were circulated to members along with the agenda prior to the meeting. The minutes indicate meeting date, time and place; those present and apologies; matters discussed and resolutions passed by the Committee. The minutes for each meeting have been signed as approved by the Chairman of the Committee at a subsequent Committee meeting. The agendas show the issues that were to be addressed, while the papers consist of reports or other submissions that were to be discussed by the Committee.

    Description
    This series consists of the Minutes, Agendas & Papers, as well as terms of reference and membership, for the Academic Planning Committee of ADFA, reporting to the Professorial Board of UNSW. The material is typed and bound with string, arranged in folders in chronological order. Only the minutes for the meetings on 10 May 1983 and prior are held. For the following meeting, only the agenda and the papers are held, but for subsequent meetings, the agenda for that meeting appears first, followed by the minutes for the previous meeting, and then the papers associated with the next meeting. The agendas show the issues to be discussed; the minutes show the meeting's attendees, topics discussed and resolutions reached; and the papers consist of reports or other submissions that were to be discussed by the committee. The last meeting (16 August 1983) papers includes the final version of the Report to the Professorial Board, which is the fulfillment of their terms of reference. A final bundle of documents including the terms of reference, membership resolutions and appointments, and other correspondence, is held, which comes from the files of the Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Ray Golding.

    Description
    On 5 June 1995 Council approved a change in name and status for the Department of Legal Studies and Taxation in the Faculty of Commerce & Economics and thus the School of Business Law and Taxation replaced the department from this date (resolution CL95/40). On 3 July 2006 Council approved the disestablishment of the Faculty of Commerce of Economics and the Australian Graduate School of Management to form the Faculty of Business (resolution CL06/68), with the inaugural meeting of the faculty taking place on 23 November 2006. The School thus became a part of this new faculty. On 18 June 2007 Council noted the renaming of the Faculty of Business as the Australian School of Business at UNSW, as approved by the Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor and President of the Academic Board (CL07/33). On 7 September 2010 the Academic Board recommended that the Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, and President of the Academic Board approve the disestablishment of the Australian School of Taxation and the School of Business Law and Taxation, and, as a concomitant action, approve the establishment of the Australian School of Taxation and Business law within the Australian School of Business, effective 1 January 2011 (resolution AB10/101). This was approved on 20 September 2010 (file 2002/2060). The School of Business Law and Taxation thus ceased to exist from 1 January 2011. From 29th June, 1995, the minutes for each meeting have been signed as approved by the Chairman of the Committee at a subsequent Committee meeting.
